Antony Crossfield is a photographer I came across and was kind of skeptical about his work at first but it has really seemed to grow on me. I like the way he is able to merge two bodies into one to create an abstract form. The complaint I still have though is that in looking at this series of work it does not seem to grow, instead he just recreates the idea of the merged nude over and over again.

These are a few photographs that I took over in Ireland last summer. I enjoyed shooting this because it was quite different than what I normally shoot - people. I hope to have another opportunity in the future to shoot pictures of a similar nature.

Joyce Tenneson is a photographer that has inspired me since high school. She has a collection of work titled Light Warriors. I love the way she uses the painting with light technique to light her subject in such interesting beautiful ways. The lighting becomes soft and illuminating.

The above photographs are from a project our class had to do involving multiple images such as diptychs, triptychs, or grids. I decided to shoot in the form of diptychs. My images are centered around the ideas of secrets. The first image represents what a normal "snapshot of someone would be like - smiling for the camera. The second image represents what secret the subject is actually hiding behind all the smiles.

This is a photographer that I came across while browsing the web. Her name is Daniela Edburg. She has a few different series of photos on her website by the ones I like the most are from a series called "Drop Dead Gorgeous." My four favorites are "Death by Oreos," "Death by Coffee," "Death by Cake," and "Death by Bananas."

These are just some images that interest me because of the lighting. This is one area in photography that I seem to struggle with but really would like to learn more about and how to use it in different ways.

These are a few images from a series of work that I did a few years ago called "Fashion Surrealism." My Goal was to take recognizable fashions and remove them from the places that they would normally be associated with. Instead, they would be placed in a location that when seen by other people, would cause questions or shock.

Sally Mann is another artist that I am very inspired by. Her "Immediate Family" series is by far my favorite. I love the way she is able to capture the expressions and gestures of her children even when they are just being themselves. I also enjoy how she does this without making her images look like snapshots but instead they look like purposeful works of art.

For our narrative project I decided to do something a little different rather than shoot people depicting a narrative. Instead, what I ended up doing was shooting trash. I collected the five garbage cans that were in my house after they had accumulated trash for one week and then carefully spread out the contents of the can and photographed it along with the trash can itself. I believe this shows a good narrative of my family because i touches on what we accumulate in a week - our daily habits.

David Hilliard is a great photographer that is able to take something simple and turn it something beautiful completely by the way he takes them. I really enjoy the way he is able to seperate his images and play with the angles to make one coProxy-Connection: keep-alive
